Frank Lloyd Wright’s Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
A video created by Robin Voils in 2014 about Frank Lloyd Wright’s Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Wauwatosa, WI is revisited as we journey from the steps of Newberry Library in Chicago to a conversation about the importance of building preservation with Ward Miller of Preservation Chicago. Wright’s mentor was architect Louis Sullivan, often referred to as the “father of skyscrapers” and the “father of modernism.” Our hope is, when viewing this video, the viewer will recognize architects as artists who lift and bring light to humanity. We look forward to exploring where the steps of Newberry Library are taking us in our December issuu publication.
