Brown County Library is a public association of eight branch libraries, Central Library in downtown Green Bay, WI and a bookmobile.
Motivated to promote the organization’s many achievements in servicing the Greater Green Bay metropolitan area, Celebrate Libraries® approached the library and community supporters with a proposal to create a video about Brown County Library’s history, programming and the architecture of Central Library.
What has emerged is a series of videos and several podcasts featuring library personnel discussing their roles in specific library departments and outreach to Brown County and beyond.
We would like to thank the supporters who generously gave of their time and resources to realize this creative undertaking.
Brown County Central Library
Dedicated in 1972 and built in an austere architectural style, Brown County Central Library, located in downtown Green Bay, is a massive 90,000 square foot concrete and glass monument to community engagement and lifelong learning. Central is the resource hub for eight branch libraries and the county bookmobile.
Brown County Library System was formed in 1968 by the union of Kellogg Public Library of Green Bay and neighboring De Pere Public Library. It is a member library of Nicolet Federated Library System, which serves 42 libraries in eight northeastern Wisconsin counties. http://www.browncountylibrary.org
